Amazon.com Product Description:
Mealtime can be messy, so some attention will need to be paid (usually by a grownup) to make sure Baby is clean, inside and out. Measuring 16 inches from the curls on her head to the tip of her tiny, individually molded toes, Baby Alive laughs, burps, hiccups, and interacts with phrases and songs. While her oversized features might unsettle grownups, Baby Alive captures the imagination of preschoolers from the moment she wrinkles her pretty, pert nose. Extra packs of accessories, diapers, and food (sold separately) further extend the nurturing play of the Baby Alive doll. Requires four AA batteries (included). --Heather Lyndon

Cute but not cute enough!
My daughters had to have this doll and of course I bought it but I have to tell you it really is a HUGE hassle. It's a big mess and buying all of the food and diaper replacements get's really expensive. My kids wanted to change the diaper every hour and feed her several times a day and once I told them they can't waste it all the doll wasn't as fun for them. They didn't even like sleeping with it because it just keeps talking and waking them up. They literally begged me to just turn it off so they could sleep at night. Now one year later the doll is just thrown in the corner of bed only to be played with once every six months. I just don't think it was worth all of the money.

Great But Messy & Try it Out Quickly
I bought the hispanic version of this doll & it arrived defective much to my 2.5 yr. old daughters dismay. It would not talk english at all and would not wake up when she went to sleep (wrist star was defective). I returened it and got the caucasion version because she wanted her doll right back and we would have had to wait for the other in the mail. Well the new doll worked perfectly thankfully and she is adorable! I like that she gets better at going potty with each feeding/potty time. I bought it to interest my daughter in the potty. She is messy though and younger children will need help which is hard bc my daughter wanted to do it all by herself. She is pretty easy to clean out (flush a few bottles of water through her over the sink & she's done!) but the food can be staining so beware. Overall she's cute but with quite a few reviews having trouble with her functions if she's a present I would try her out & make sure she works first! It can be so disappointing to get a defective one!

Daughter loves it!
My daughter really wanted this doll for her 6th birthday. Since I think she already has enough toys and I really didn't want to buy her anymore, I thought the Baby Alive would be the best compromise since it was her one big toy for her b.day. I also got some of the accessories (diapers, extra food, etc) to go along with it. I wouldn't really recommend it for kids under age 6 solely for the fact that it teaches children responsiblity. My daughter is old enough to be able to feed the baby herself and change the diapers. My friend whose daughter is only 3 and has the same doll is unable to do without the assistance of "mommy." The only thing I need to help with is "flushing her out" so that she doesn't get all icky inside. Be prepared though, cause the novelty wears off quickly and Baby Alive may be cast aside with the other toys...

Buyer Beware
I bought this doll for my 19 month old daughter because she like to pretend to feed everything she comes in contact with. I of course only let her use a empty bottle and the empty dish and spoon. She enjoys very much that her baby makes noise and will move her mouth when she feeds her but this doll looks horrible. The hair is skimpy and you can see every single strand, then the rest is painted on giving it a very freaky fake look. I think it would have looked much better if she would have plastic hair or the company would have taken the time to do something more with it. I noticed in the first day baby alives face gets very dirty with dust. If you lay her down on the carpet the little carpet dust particles sticks to her face. Even with not feeding her real food and only a empty bottle the paint on her lips is already coming off.Her clothes are rough and cheap made. Over all this doll is not worth what they are charging. I found it discounted at a local store for .00. For that I am very grateful because I don't think she's even worth that. If my daughter didn't love this ugly mutant looking doll so much I would return it back to the store.
